Overview
The purpose of this video was to show the highlights from the Challenge on Dementia: Putting Words Into Action, the second UCLPartners dementia conference. This includes speakers and exhibits as well as extra interviews with presenters Alistair Burns, National Clinical Director for Dementia, NHS England; Piers Kotting, Programme Director for Join Dementia Research at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR); and Wendy Mitchell, whose personal story of living with dementia resonated with delegates.
Shoot and edit
We shot the highlights of this event using two cameras with operators and a GoPro on an extension pole for high level shots. We recorded on stage sound using a feed the venue's sound desk. We carried out short interviews during the breaks with the key speakers.
The conference took place over a full day with speakers and a variety of activities. In order to edit a comprehensive 7 minute video we liased with the organisers before the event to identify the key messages they wanted people to take away from the day.
Tech and spec
The video is presented on the UCLPartners YouTube channel and Podcats supplied full HD broadcast quality files for them to use at conferences in the future.
