Overview

This is an extract of a longer video which is used in classroom training by Health Education England. The video includes a dramatisation with actors of a GP consultation, as well as input from professionals. Throughout, there are moments where the video can be paused to reflect on certain questions and to have group discussions.

Video takes learning outside of the classroom. It can transport learners to a busy ward, a GP surgery, or even aboard an air ambuance on the way to a trauma centre. Learners can see and hear from the experts themselves. 

Video can be a cost effective solution when it comes to training resources. Once the dramatisation or interview has been shot and edited, it can be used time and again to educate an unlimited number of people. You are not restricted by the capacity of an event or simulation centre, and people can watch the resources in the classroom, at home, or anywhere! 

Shoot and edit

The shoot took place in one day, with interviewees shot against green screen, which gave us the flexibility to put in our own backgrounds.
